Garbage CollectionThe Property Manager received notice from Waste Management that they are unable to empty some garbage cans on Sardis and Southbrooke due to cars blocking access and the containers being too far back on the sidewalk. If your container was not emptied, check your placement on the next delivery day and make sure there is enough room for the truck and its arm to reach it. Pool Bathroom KeyThe lock on the pool bathroom is not working correctly. If you jiggle it around a little bit, it will open. Someone will be out to fix it. Missing Manhole CoverOne of the manhole covers on Courtney is missing. We are aware of the issue and are working on getting it replaced. BurglaryThere was a break-in on Laird and Egle last month. It was during the day and the thieves kicked in the door. More information will be posted if we receive it. Please be careful, lock your doors even when you are home. Waste Management RecyclingWaste Management is changing our recycling service. The new pick-up day will be Monday, starting on June 21. They are also offering homeowners new recycle bins in different sizes. Waste Management will be sending a letter to all homeowners regarding these changes. Be watching for their letter to receive more specific information. Use of the PoolAccess to the pool is a privilege for residents. You must be current on your Association dues to use it. You also must have a pool card to gain access. Your first pool card is free. If you lose the card, you will be charged $50 to replace it. If your current card is not working, LeeAnn Rogers, Property Manager, will exchange it for a free replacement. If you are renting out your house, you should collect the card from tenants when they move out. If you are unable to collect it, notify LeeAnn or the Board and it wil lbe deactivated. There is no lifeguard on duty at the pool. You swim at your own risk. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Remember, you pay for the privilege to use the pool. If someone you do not know asks you to let them in, don't do it. We have many instances of people who don't live here and are not guests using the pool. Non-residents have no reason to worry about keeping the pool and its equipment in nice condition. |

Blue Staking on our StreetsAs you have seen, our streets have been blue staked. These markings were requested by Southwest Gas. SWG is having all our gas pipes checked. So far our pipes have been deemed “good”. The contractor for SWG will remain in the neighborhood for another two weeks or so. They will be checking various intersections by cutting into the asphalt (3'x 3' sections) and visually checking the pipe connections. They will fill and repair these sections with new asphalt after their inspections. Please use extra caution when driving through the neighborhood as our traffic flow will be affected. Suspicious ActivityA homeowner reported the following odd incident to the association manager. If anything similar happens to you, please call the police and let LeeAnn know so we can alert everyone. At 2:20am a young man knocked at their door and said that he was playing football with his friend and the ball had landed in their backyard. He then asked if the homeowner could go get it for him. They said no, and he said ok and walked away. When they checked the backyard in the morning there was no football. The young man was about 5'10", light complected, spiky hair, had a tattoo on his right arm and was wearing a t-shirt and blue jeans. |

Burglaries Prompt Home Security RemindersLock Doors, Windows,Secure Garage Door Openers, The Pima County Sheriff's Department Burglary Unit is investigating two burglaries which occurred while residents were home sleeping. These crimes prompt us to remind the public to exercise good home security measures, even while they are at home. Remember to lock doors, set alarms, keep keys secured and close garage doors to prevent unwanted access to homes. An occupied residence does not always deter a burglar but good home security does. Report suspicious activity immediately by calling 911. Sheriff's Auxiliary Volunteers are available to assist you by performing Home Security Inspections free of charge. Call the SAVs at (520)351-4685 for more information. |
